The Columbus Chapter of the IIBA is pleased to announce the return of BACon for 2027!

The Chapter will once again showcase top Business Analysis thought leaders sharing their knowledge and experience.

This will be an in-person event.

Have an idea for a session? We are seeking dynamic speakers for our event to conduct sessions on topics relevant to the major areas of Business Analysis. Being a speaker is a terrific way to help build our business analysis community.

Most of us have spent the last year returning to the office and we’ve all learned a lot from our successes and failures.

Learning from each other makes us a stronger community of practitioners! We would love to see your session in the following areas:

1) Strategic, Operational, or Tactical Business Analysis / Business Systems Analysis

2) Agile BA Techniques (BDD, ATDD, User Stories)

3) Product Management / Ownership

4) Enterprise Analysis

5) UX / UI

6) Business Data Analytics

7) Cybersecurity

Don't have a topic in one of those areas? We are always open to interesting topics of interest to our community of practitioners

Tips on getting selected:

  • Be clear and concise. We see abstracts every year that do not seem to have a clear overview of what our attendees will learn
  • Is this a case study? If so, call it out! Real life examples are always the most attended sessions
  • What are we going to learn? Do not make the board or attendees try to understand the learning outcomes. Be direct.
  • What skill level do I need. If this is an expert level session, set that expectation
  • No panel submissions

Benefits of Speaking:

     * Drive thought leadership for the Business Analysis community

     * Share your company or client’s success

     * Complimentary admission to the conference
